This past Friday, February 17, 2023, UMIEEE members gathered in the lounge for a night of board games, snacks, and great company. They enjoyed classics like Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, and Risk. Pizza was also ordered, providing fuel for the long, exciting night ahead.

The atmosphere was particularly relaxing as it was the last day of school before spring break, and everyone who had midterms had just completed them. Groups of students could be seen huddled around tables, strategizing and laughing as they tried to outdo one another in their favorite games. Settlers of Catan was particularly intense, with players carefully planning their moves and trying to gain the upper hand. Risk was also a popular choice, with students taking on the role of military strategists as they sought to conquer new territories and expand their empires. Other games like, a fast-paced and exciting game of chance, provided a fun break from the more intense strategy games.

Throughout the night, the atmosphere in the lounge was one of warmth and friendship. Everyone was relaxed and happy, enjoying the chance to take a break from the stress of school and work. As the night went on, new connections were made, and existing ones were strengthened, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among UMIEEE members.

Overall, the board game night at UMIEEE was a huge success. Members were able to come together for a night of fun and games. If you missed out on this event, keep an eye out for future UMIEEE events, as they are a great way to get involved and have fun with your fellow students!
